In the town of Doolin, a music shop
DAY 1-Doolin
We arrived at Shannon Airport earlier than scheduled. We arrived at 5:30 AM (12:30 US time) and have been nonstop all day. We picked up the rental car and off to breakfast we headed. It is much cooler than anticipated. We all are wishing we had a coat, hat, and scarf, yes it is that cold and it has rained on and off all day, but no complaints after all we are in Ireland!!! We drove along the coast and saw some beautiful country side. It is amazing at how much open land there is here. Also lots of cows and sheep it is a beautiful site. I must say the roads are narrow and windy and reminded me of Jamaica at times. Tim did an excellent job of driving on the wrong side of the road for the first time. We were also warned when crossing the road take our time because we would look opposite first, old habits die hard. We stopped in the town at Doolin and walked around for a bit. We tasted some amazing cheese from the Aillewee Caves….it was delicious. After all that walking and shopping and not mention being up for about 24 hrs we headed to the Bed and Breakfast to check in to our rooms at about 2:30. NAP time was on. We slept for a couple of hours and then headed to dinner. It is amazing at what a nap and shower will do for you…..still a bit tired and will be turning in soon. Tomorrow is a full day and if you have ever traveled with Joy you know what FULL means, action packed, exciting, and awesome experiences. We are all grateful and excited about being in Ireland. We have had a great day and will be turning in soon. Until next time…Stacy reporting
